The
agency was started by Robert Ayres and later in 1970 Richard French joined him and the
name Ayres & French, Inc. was born.
This agency has been
known for the service it gives to their clientele and their logo, "People Serving
People" is fitting.
The agency has seven
licensed agents/employees covering Personal Lines (Homeowners-Auto-Life-Health), and
Commercial Lines covering all types of business insurance (bonds, general liability
package policies, etc.). They also have a claims department and an accounting department,
are fully computerized, and on-line with several insurance companies. |

Richard
E. French attended the University of Oregon, and started in the insurance business in l952
in San Francisco. He joined the Insurance Company of North America (now Cigna)
in l953 and traveled the State of Oregon for seven years as a Special Agent.
He was transferred to San Jose,
California in l960 and again transferred to Phoenix, Arizona in l967 as the State Manager
of the company. Richard decided to stay in Arizona and in 1970 became a partner in
Ayres & French, Inc. in Sedona, Arizona. To

Betty
French attended the University of Oregon and is a registered nurse. She entered the
Insurance business in l970.
Her background in the medical field
has helped her in all forms of and life insurance, long-term care, Medicare supplements
and Health insurance for individuals and groups. Betty also handles property and casualty
insurance.

Jan
handles all accounting functions for the agency. Jan too is an R/N and has brought a
wealth of information from the health field.
Jan also handles most of the
Bonding for the agency. She arranges for all the payment plans for our insureds, and
is conversant in all phases of the insurance business. Jan has 19 years with the

James
R. French is the Commercial Lines specialist for the agency. Commercial lines encompasses
all businesses and contracting risks.
He does all the packaging in
Commercial Lines including liability and commercial auto, and handles workers compensation

John
K. French is a Personal Lines specialist. Personal lines involves such things as
Homeowners & Automobiles for individuals.
He is very knowledgeable in
packaging all personal policies into one. John also handles Life, Accident and
Health policies and has been in the agency for 17 years.

Kathryn
is a Personal Lines and Package Specialist. She is experienced in these areas and
with her prior background in banking she understands how to save a person money in their
insurance needs.
She handles large package type
polices and has a good background in Life/Health and related insurance. Kathryn has

Cheryl
Henriksen handles all the claims for the agency. Cheryl has a considerable
experience in helping people and has been to many schools in the insurance area to help
acquire this specialized knowledge.
She has attained the Certified
Insurance Service Representative designation (CISR). She also works in the Commercial area
